- Learning disabilities - Speech and language skill disabilities - Severe behavioral problems - Emotional difficulties - Weak motor skills (including walking, sitting, running) - Weak muscles - Additional height - Increases in acne

- Occurs during production of male gametes, or sperm cells. - Nondisjunction in meiosis II. - Resulting unequal distribution of Y chromosomes among daughter cells. - Sperm cells produced with extra Y chromosome may fertilize egg, in which case child would have XYY Syndrome.

There are no medical cures or treatment for xyy syndrome. The only "solution" is for xyy patients with learning disabilities is to provide them special education, and other programs created for their disabilities.

About 1 in 1,000 boys is born with XYY Syndrome, or about 5 to 10 newborn boys per day.
